Rob Kelly is a hypnotherapist and 'communications expert' who has been is full-time practice for 20 years, and during that time he has been of psychological assistance to more than 11,000 people.

Rob owns 'successful hypnotherapy' - which is Europe's largest hypnotherapy training school, and he is also the Administrative Secretary of The IAPH - The International Association of Pure Hypnoanalysts.

He had been treating clients for four or five years, and every now and again someone would come to see him to stop smoking. Rob's training up until this point was in 'normal' hypnosis and suggestion - and he managed to stop about 40% of the smokers who came to see him. For the 40% who stopped, this was great. For the 60% who didn't, it wasn't!....

So, Rob spent a great deal of time researching smoking cesation, and finding out why some people stopped... and some didn't. He started to use some of his (unique) analytical insights into human behaviour (that he gained from working with people with limiting belief systems, and abuse victims) and applied it to his work with smokers. His success rate started to rise...

Another couple of years - and a few hundred clients later - Rob had manged to raise his success rate to around 95%: 19 out of 20 smokers who came to see him stopped smoking easily, in just one session.

Over the last 10 years or so, Rob has further developed his expertise in smoking cessation, and started to teach his insights to other therapists.

The success of Robs approach is entirely due to his unique inisght into human behavior, and in particular the 'cycles of dysfunction behavior' that many people (especially smokers) tend to display.

'The Rob Kelly Method', is entirely different to ANY other smoking cessation technique in existence, and tackles the subject from a completely different angle. An example of this would be that Rob doesn't believe that smoking is a stupid habit - he believes that smoking is a GREAT HABIT that really enhances a persons life (in the short-term anyway), and that smokers only feel that smoking is a stupid habit because society (led by the medical profession) makes them feel that way.

A typical hour-long Rob Kelly Method sesion, consists of a forty minute discussion, followed by a 20 minute hypnotherapy session. The 20 minute hypnotherapy session is the icing on the cake really, because most clients have already 'become a non-smoker' by this point in the session.

More amazing than the 95% success rate, is the fact that (as far as our research shows) the vast majority (estimated at 89%) of people that go through Robs process NEVER GO BACK TO SMOKING AGAIN!

Anyone can stop smoking for an hour, a day, or even a week. Using placebos, nicotine patches, gum etc many smokers can stop smoking for weeks - or even months - at a time. In Robs view, these people were not 'non-smokers'.....

Smokers, ex-smokers and non-smokers.......

The key to the success of The Rob Kelly Method, can be explained by differentiating the belief system of a smoker from and ex-smoker, and from a non-smoker.
95% of people who go through a session of the Rob Kelly Method leave the consulting room as a Non-smoker.

A smokers belief system, is that of someone who thinks about smoking, who likes to smoke, who gets cravings to smoke, who gets withdrawal symptoms when he doesn't smoke, who associates with smokers, who worries about not being able to smoke.....

An ex-smokers belief system, is essentially the same as a smokers, but they don't actually smoke anymore... they still want to smoke, they still get cravings to smoke, they still think about smoking, they still feel 'withdrawal' from smoking, but they refrain from actually having one. In other words, an ex-smoker actually has a much harder life than a smoker, because they have all the negative symptoms associated with smoking, without the relaxing, rewarding pleasureable experience of actually smoking.

It's not surprising that the vast majority of ex-smokers end up going back to being smokers - sooner or later. (They are really just waiting for any excuse to go out and buy a packet!)

A non-smokers belief system, is totally different from the other two.
These people don't EVER think about smoking, they don't EVER worry about smoking, they don't EVER get withdrawal symptoms or cravings, they don't EVER fantasize about smoking, they don't ever miss smoking at all..... in fact, no thoughts about about smoking ever really come into their mind. They are indifferent to it. They couldn't care less about smoking - it means nothing to them.

In all Robs research, he didn't come accross any other anti-smoking technique that time after time after time helped people to turn into non-smokers.
